A "fun" murder mystery with a high body-count!

I didn't think that I would find the world of body-building that interesting, but the theater connection with Nick and Noah made the body-building competition seem like a Broadway production. I enjoyed meeting Noah's parents and how they interacted with the "boys." The writing is entertaining and funny even though people are dropping like flies. Hope that we see more of Nick and Noah!

Sexy whodunnit, littered with superb one-liners that makes this stand out from the norm

Well it’s official. I’ve added Joe Cosentino to my Bucket List, I seriously need to meet this author, the man is a genius!

Book 1, Drama Queen was always going to be a hard act to follow with its belly ache laughter approach but in this “smirkathong” – yes I was smirking throughout the book, my top lip still aches – the author succeeded in delivering another comic classic!

My boys, Nicky and Noah, AKA as 9 �” Sherlock and sexy Watson, are back with more murders to solve (bodies are dropping quicker than any dumbbell drop)! – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle will be turning in his grave, not from the shock factor but from the laughter factor – the one liners scattered throughout the book would leave Henny Youngman envious, the comic timings were superbly delivered.

Red herrings came thick and fast, as did the colourful characters (lol) and we were even treated to cameo appearances from Dick Danghammer and Marvin Meekbottom. Every character added value, especially Noah’s dad and mum with her permanently attached camera that took pictures of everything to send back home and I mean everything! Nicky and Noah’s sexy times were far sexier than book 1’s and yes, I’m smirking again thinking of them.

It was great fun but delivered with precision and excellence, I adored it, unlike the European driving comment……shame on you author!

Cozy-fun and sexy!

This is book two in the Nicky and Noah mysteries but stands alone quite well.
In Drama Muscle Nicky and Noah are helping to make the bodybuilding competition more creative. Nicky is the producer and Noah helping with each one’s posing. They have chosen a Greek gods theme. Then the students and supervisors start dying one after another. Nicky begins investigating to help find the murder.
Once again Joe Cosentino delivers an intriguing story with lots of fun characters. I never tire of Joe’s stories. He has such a clean yet humorous style and though the mystery seems a bit predictable at first it twists and turns. I admit I suspected the killer but never could figure out a motive so I was unsure of what the outcome would be.
I love Nicky and Noah. They are quirky, very much in love and also sexy. I like the way the sex is handled in the store. It’s hot, sensual and yet tasteful. The descriptions add a lot to the story. I could visualize their Victorian home as if I was there.
There was another storyline as well as the murders that really had me worried. Noah’s parent comes to visit and keep pressing marriage. Nick keeps bringing it up, but Noah seems to brush him off, and then he begins cozies up to one of the bodybuilding teachers. What’s the outcome here? It was another surprise!
If you like a fast-paced, humorous mystery with some quirky characters, lots of twists and the hot, sensual, man-sex, this is definitely for you.
I promise you a laugh a minute!

In April my husband went for a PSA blood test due to experiencing several symptoms of prostate cancer; his result was 44.4 (normal needs to be nearer 3 or 4!) About the Author
Frederick C. Hatfield, MSS, PhD, is Co-founder and President of the ISSA. Dr. Hatfield, (aka "Dr. Squat") won the World Championships three times in the sport of powerlifting, and performed a competitive squat with 1014 pounds at a body weight of 255 pounds (more weight than anyone in history had ever lifted in competition). Dr. Hatfield's former positions include an assistant professorship at the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and Senior Vice President and Director of Research and Development for Weider Health and Fitness, Incorporated. Dr. Hatfield was honored by Southern Connecticut State University when they presented him with the 1991 Alumni Citation Award. He has written over 70 books (including several best-sellers) and hundreds of articles in the general areas of sports training, fitness, bodybuilding, and performance nutrition. He has been coach and training consultant for several world-ranked and professional athletes, sports governing bodies and professional teams worldwide. Dr. Hatfield qualified for the 1998 World Championships in Olympic Lifting and competed in the Masters Division.

good standard reference

I am not a powerlifter, but i weight train for fitness. I found this book to be very helpful in giving straightforward explanations of the importance of building a good strength base, and what exercises and approaches to use to achieve that. The different workout systems were clearly explained and the pictures and explanations of the exercises were clear. The diet information was also helpful and non technical. A nice addition to my fitness library (...).

I was a competitive powerlifter in college (never on the sauce), setting state records in the State of Alabama in the early to mid 1980's. I and my fellow powerlifters used this book as our primary source for increasing our individual lifts as well as our totals. Just looking at it today made me flash back to a time in my life when my strength was greatest.

I found this book extermely interesting and explanatory. Dr.Fred Hatfield (professionally known as Dr. Squat) presented the sport of powerlifting and bodybuilding in a way that even the "weekend warriors" can understand. And I have had this book for about 10 years now.
