A must for the Lush Fan

The interviews are fairly extensive although I would have liked them to be longer and not included questions about shoe gaze and other topics that have been covered many times in previous articles.
There are however some very candid and honest revelations from Miki and Emma that I have never seen in print before as well as a fascinating look into the writing and meaning of many of their songs. There are enlightening new comments from Miki about her and Emmas guitar playing and song writing approach which I found very interesting. Both Emma and Miki's replies to the interview questions are witty, thoughtful and inspiring and it is wonderful to read their thoughts on Lush some 20 years later
If, like me, you eagerly seek out anything new from Emma and Miki then you need this mIgazine. Highly recommended for Lush super fans who know just how special this group and their music was.

Hodges delves deeply into this philosophy as the supreme and final expression of Sandino's communism and traces its sources in the Gnostic and millenarian occult undergrounds. This results in a rich study of the ways in which Sandino's revolutionary communism and communist spirituality intersect—a spiritual politics that Hodges presents as more realistic than the communism of Karl Marx.
While accepting the current wisdom that Sandino was a Nicaraguan liberal and social reformer, Hodges also makes a persuasive case that Sandino was first and foremost a communist, although neither of the Marxist nor anarchist variety. He argues that Sandino's eclectic communist spirituality was more of an asset than a liability for understanding the human condition, and that his spiritual politics promises to be more relevant than Marxism-Leninism for the twenty-first century. Indeed, Hodges believes that Sandino's holistic communism embraces both deep ecology and feminist spirituality—a finding that is sure to generate lively and productive debate.

It's alright

I am currently a nursing student and I am not thrilled with this book, in fact it basically has just sat on my shelf for the duration of my schooling. I suggest buying the Nursing Care Plans textbook instead, it has fewer nursing diagnosis but it actually lists the interventions and gives explanations as to why they are needed and how you would carry them out. The Pearson Nursing Diagnosis Handbook has a lot of resources and a nice selection of Risk for factors but it lacks any depth on the interventions and explanations. It merely lists an intervention in a few words and that is it. If you're like me and you're creating care plans for your patients it is much nicer having that information on hand instead of trying to come up with something yourself. Another thing I did appreciate about the Pearson book is that it had Nursing Diagnosis for a wider variety of patients, such as OB mothers, babies, etc. which can be beneficial if you want a wider scope.

Practical Resource

I have known that differentiation in the classroom is key to student success. Practical application has been my stumbling block. Finally, a resource has surfaced that offers theory and practice! I was able to use the strategies immediately. The format of the book is easy to follow. I have already recommended it to my teammates. This is a must-read for classroom teachers. (I wish my own children's teachers would read it as well!) Another plus is the abundance of other resources, including websites for more in-depth information.

Editor and fact checker needed.

This book needs a good editor and fact checker. Numerous spelling, grammar and fact errors. For example chapter one - Germans invade Poland, British stops all trade with Germany after the Jews in Poland were round up according to this book. What about the British and France declaring war on Germany after they invaded Poland? Trade stopped at that point. Further in this chapter is written "His conquest was successful as most of Sweden and Norway was occupied by the Germans. ", Sweden occupied???? Later in this chapter " Germany faced a huge monetary loss and to top that the winter set in the Soviet Union claimed the lives of several German soldiers." , Several????

This book appears to be written by someone who writes English as a second or third language, or translated by someone who faces the same language problems. Granted there is information re: the life and proclivities of Ms Grese; however, nothing is offered that could not be surmised by knowing she was a rising star of the SS. Horrible use of the English language with little information. Don't buy this book.

Glad I Didn't Pay Money

What I thought was the beginning, preface, leading into more in-depth coverage ended up being the entire first half of the book. Much time was wasted in "what you will read in this chapter", "what will be covered shortly". Instead of events occurring in chronological order, all of a sudden and needlessly it would flash to the end then go back to detail before. (Execution described bluntly, to then go back and describe trial and execution in-depth). Typos and autocorrect galore.

Considering its age, 5 stars!

This is an old book indeed, but it still is a relevant an masterful analysis of the cultural forces behind the Bible. I have enjoyed its reading very much. I recommend this book as indispensable for anyone trying to be well informed and knowledgeable of the immense and complex background behind the writing of the Bible. After its reading, the Bible reinforces its role as the definitive document of mans relation with God.
