Classic tale of synthetic life

Dark Phase reminds me of some of those classic Asimov stories I read back in the nineties. The idea of synthetic lifeforms, especially ones as evolved as these androids. Sarazen is an intriguing characters and contains many human traits that make you sometimes forget exactly what or who he is. The malfunction of Cole is very similar to some of Susan Calvin's assignments and I'm pleased to say this story replicates the better parts of those stories.
Well written, a credit to the author and well worth getting for just a dollar. To quote the classic Robocop - `I'd buy that for a dollar!'

Very well-written, captivating story

Excellent, original plot taking a different look at the possible future involving AI and robots. The development of the main character is fascinating and quite believable. The writing is crisp and flows well. This is a full story from beginning to end (for those avoiding lead-ins to a series). In this case I actually wish the story hadn't ended with this book - I would like to read more.
